The Home Pack Revolt Print E-mail
Monday, 30 April 2007
RUTH Kelly could be forced to withdraw plans for homesellers’ information packs over fears of a “catastrophic” impact on house prices.

The controversial change, which will cost everyone selling their home up to £600, is due to be imposed in five weeks despite opposition from the housing industry.

The move follows warnings from experts who fear the introduction of the Home Information Packs will send the market into a slump after interest rate rises have made buyers nervous.
