Home Information Packs, which the Government claimed would speed up house selling, are taking longer than a month to put together, The Daily Telegraph has learnt.
Pack providers and estate agents said the Government's claims that the information would take only a week to produce do not match up with reality.
Error, missing fireboard config file!
Sellers have to compile the packs at a cost of around £400 to give a potential buyer all the documents needed to complete a house purchase.
