The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) claimns that a communication sent by the DCLG (department of Communities and Local Government) on home information packs completely lacks substance and misleads. The e-mails stated that the implementation of HIPs has been smooth and the mentioned the good feedback from agents and consumers without any supporting evidence. According to the NAEA the situation being reported by estate agents is the complete opposite.

Home Information Packs, which the Government claimed would speed up house selling, are taking longer than a month to put together, The Daily Telegraph has learnt.
Pack providers and estate agents said the Government's claims that the information would take only a week to produce do not match up with reality.
